We are looking at horzontals with 6 or 7 pallet changer option.
Daweoo , Bridgeport(a quasar build), Kia , maybe haas
are haas any good when comparing to the others, we machine in aluminum from solid blocks on vmc's with 4th axis cube at moment using triag work clamps, and want more unmanned hours and also to improve circular/helical interpliration on H7 bearings bores when using 4 flute solid carbide end mills. need more power
we have a quasar mv204 10,000rpm and a bridgeport vmc800 12,000rpm
is haas quality and reliabilty and machining quality as good as other brands but cheaper ?
As far as i know, Haas does not make a HMC with a large pallet pool. The EC-400 has two stations built in. I have a HAAS SL-30 BB and a new VF-5 50 taper. The features and the control make these machines so much easier to operate than others. The fact that Haas integrates rotary, probing and other things means that it all works together without a hitch. I am not a big fan of throwing pieces together. When a problem arises, tech support wants to blame the other components. Haas -one tech does it all! I think you will be pleased if you purchase a Haas.
