CNC Lathe chuck with adjustable Jaws ?

On my Samsung PL10 cnc lathe (just got it), How do I true the chuck after moving the jaws on their cerated mounting. They are off by about 0.005"

These are hardened jaws and i don't want to have to grind them true.
This must be a common thing since they need to be moved for each size of part.

You don`t use hardened jaws for jobs where you are not machining the bar dia, only use them for jobs where you are machining all over and parting off or for first ops on forgings/castings.For everything else use soft jaws and true them after setting.
    Mark.

gridley51's comment is correct but your hard jaws should be better than .005" off. Are they numbered and in the correct location? If they are not numbered label them so you know which is which, and then move them around so you have tried all combinations of the jaws in different locations. You might find one thet runs truer so then you mark them permanently to stick with that position.

Oh, of course, the simple check...make sure the serrations are clean.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

Geof is correct. Relocating the jaws can change concentricity by quite a bit.
