Super Spacer or Rotary Table w/chuck?

Looking for advice on which would be the best:

6" Super Spacer ex. Enco 202-3012

Or a 6" H/V Rotary Table w/ lathe chuck and adapter plate?

I machine mostly UHMW 4" OD round stock for wheel adapters on all terrain power wheelchairs. I have been out sourcing these parts but would like to cut them myself on my mill.

An advice would be great, also sources for either

Paul, Do you want to index to incremental spacing or to any spot on the total rotation? Indexers do just that, index to discrete positions like every 5 degrees or what ever their spacing is set for. For example, a 5 degree indexer will not let you index to 22 degrees but would do 20 or 25 degrees.

A rotary table equipped with the correct scale will do 22 deg., 30 min. and may even divide into arc seconds. I guess it's what your needs are will determine which is correct for the job.

I would like both incremental and any degree (but less necessary). I found originally when I used a Horz. rotary table and chuck repeating the bolt circle and slots to interlock the adapter to the purchased wheel hubs very time consuming.

Now the wheel hubs are continuosly changing and I also want to cut sprockets for developement purposes.

I guess the super spacer with the 10 sec vernier dial and 90:1 disengaging handwheel gets me the best of both worlds. ??
Still trying to learn how to produce round parts on a mill.

Any Pro's & con's going with this method?

Paul, That "super spacer" sounds like a dividing head from a milling machine. These are a little cumbersome but usually accurate and versatile. Well suited for one-off's and low quantity runs but not for high production.
