I think it would be awesome. I have a ThermalArc Prowave 185 amp inverter model that I was thinking of using for a similar machine. I have such a hard time keeping the tungsten tip out of the weld pool and yet keeping it close enough to the work, not to mention feeding in the sacrificial metal rod. Actually, how would you handle the feeding in of the extra metal? Some sort of servo gearmotor pinched roller device?

My inverter probably generates a huge amount of EMI when welding, so that would be something you would need to protect your cnc system from (I could see getting lots of noise on encoder and step/dir lines if they were not correctly shielded).

Hi Khalid, i made a cnc Tig welding table, two years ago, but i could not finish, becose in the firsts test, i burn my drive box, (i bought the a Xylotex kit)
I weld with a high frecuency ingnition (cebora welding), my first misstake was the i did´t connect a earth pole to the table, so in the first test one of the motors die, so i put the earth pole and made a new test, this time it`s work well but a have some problems, so a have to left the project. ok i hope that this will be usefull for you, bye.
