They don't seem any different than many other machines. The company I worked for (Dynamechtronics) had a 32" x 20" machine that weighed 12,000lbs and a 43" x 22" machine at 16,000lbs. My Dynas weigh 4500lbs and are little #30 taper machines with 14" x 10" travels. Check the specs on Mazak, Matsuura, Republic Lagun, Tree, Mighty, Mori Seiki and others. For some reason, people forget that Haas and Fadal are among the lightest duty machines on the market.

I agree I have no idea how good or bad these machines are but when somebody has a post like that it reminds of the guy who has a tip on a stock email, It just seems a little fishy. could be a great machine and they look nice I just don't like the way it was presented.

I really want to add an insult here but I will hold back. You should check my other posts before you think I am a salesman but I dont expect everyone here to be savvy. Point is the big three car manufacturers use these machines so they must be robust. I hate it that the castings come from overseas and that was why I never looked twice at Milltronics. Is their any company that does meehanite domestically? I am a shop owner and a machinist not a salesman. Maybe you should look over the specs on the machines with a clear head.

Smile Big CNC Machines

Carbidecraters
Don't feel bad I was yelled at when I wanted to spend 5000 dollars for some thing. It seems many readers don't know where stuff comes from now. FORD made in CANADA. CHEVY made in MEXICO. The made in America people should not buy Ford or Chevy! A very popular vehicle (pick up) is made in the USA and named the -TOYOTA ! That is one Heck of a machine that you talk about. I am always faced with the part not fitting on the table. With this machine no one has to worry. Wish I had one of those sitting here for me to machine some thing. So again don't fell bad about what you read. By the way many folks lie too.

Ford/GM/Chevy get chinese parts shipped to South Korea and are presented as South Korean parts. Toyota parts are also coming from China and shipped to the United States for assembly. It is obvious to me that these castings arent being done here and the machines final finish is horrible however their customer list and machine list is VERY impressive.

Point is the big three car manufacturers use these machines so they must be robust.
The big three use everything, good or bad so that's not really an endorsement.

I hate it that the castings come from overseas and that was why I never looked twice at Milltronics. Is their any company that does meehanite domestically?
No one does castings of that size domestically. Haas and Fadal are no more "Made in USA" than anything else. The EPA and OSHA have made big castings cost prohibitive. Even the Japanese machines and automobiles have all the big castings done in China.

Maybe you should look over the specs on the machines with a clear head.
I looked at the specs. I pointed out they are nothing special. The Brute machines are no better than machines offered ten years ago from Dynamechtronics, Mighty/Viper, Femco, Tree, Republic Lagun, and others. The Brute does look stouter than the light duty linear guide machines from Haas, Fadal, Bridgeport, Cinncinnati, Hardinge, and Milltronics but that isn't saying much.

User list is irrelevant

That user list had nothing to do with Vertical Machining. The name of each machine or operation was given, so take a look at it. How would a VMC be used in swaging or in a transfer line?

The heaviest machines come from South Korea (Daewoo/Doosan), Taiwan and China. That's been true for a long time. I own a Mighty Mustang C-42, which has box ways. With 20" x 42" travel, it's lighter than a Haas at 9,000 lbs vs. apporx. 12,000 lbs and from the cuts I made in a demo video, Haas users told me their machine could not keep up with it. 1018 steel, 2" 45 degree SEKN Face mill, .150"-.200" deep, .015" fpt, 1800 rpm. I saw a Daewoo Mynx 500 (20" x 40") machine with box ways and 16,000 lbs run an Iscar 1.5" three flute APKT type endmill .500" deep slotting in 1018 steel. Try that with a 50 Taper Haas.

Buy me a Beer?

we have a quantum and an enshu as well as a number of jap machines, both 50 taper machines i beleave are korean machines , absolutely trouble free work horses , i highly a doubt hass could keep up to what we put those two machines thru 24/7,especially after talking with guys i know that own them , they a mearly an affordable machine , the chevy's cavellier of machines , and fadal well thats a no good piece that i hope never to touch again ,thats the lada of machines
and where are they made ?

bottom line is the japanese can t be beat but there are some good machines out there for the guy that can t always afford them

Enshu is Japanese, not Korean

Hey man, you're driving a Lexus, not a Hyundai. Enshu is a step above even Mori Seiki in terms of design and durability if that's possible.

really ?

i had alway thought is was korean ,they are definitely as reliable as the mori's,
its an ev650 , theres no stopping the sucker ,and very accurate but some of the inner design is quite flawed in reguards to covers , and chip evacuation , chips get where we really don t want them ,we plan on one or two simple mods to solve this issue but on the other hand i can put a lot of the blame on the operators , if i wasn t on top of them the machines would never get cleaned
