Galil DMC-2150 worth getting?

Hey guyz,

Was just wondering about this controller, the Galil DMC-2150 or 2250, is this worth getting or is it bad because it is stand-alone controller and not a PCI type card? Everyone seems to recommend card type, but just wondering if this is a good buy or not.

H3ndrix, Usually the reason for going with a ISA or PCI slot card is the ease of ability to use the PC as an operator interface for machine control and program download etc. the stand alone and ethernet cards are often used for embeded solutions where the card either runs a dedicated program or a remote PC will send commands over the ethernet link.
If you are looking at operator machine control the PC slot type would probabally be the best bet.
