arbour clamping assembly of cnc machines are pneumatic.they clamp the tool with the help of drawbar and collet i think so.
can some body tell me the arbour clamping system. how it pull the arbour in the spindle.

Do a search of this site for "tool changer" and/or "drawbar" - there was a thread on the design of such a mechanism within the last 4 or 5 months.

Consistency is a good thing....unless you're consistently an idiot.
i have hurco machining center. i have found this with it.i think some thing is missing .can someone tell me about that.
by seeing your pics .i think yours ball gripper is missing.i am sending u pics u can compare with this
look up into spindle,is there a four finger collet visible inside (top) of taper? i believe this is simply a spare drawbar.
i have seen several times inside the collet .i am sure drawbar is missing.
i donot know what thing is come up at the end of the drawbar which i have shown to u in the pics,to hold the pull stud. can u tell me. and i donot have the manual of it to ckeck from it.
Thanks
can you clamp a tool in the spindle as the machine is right now?
no. the upper pnuematic cylinder is workinking when i try to clamp the tool.
but it did not clamp the tool. i have checked other BMC machines there is something in thier spindle to clamp the tool.I am damp sure my hurco drawbar is missing. i donot have the manual of hurco to ckeck from it.
Actually i recently purchase That hurco machine from agent.
Other things are working fine . i have run Two three programes on that machine after purchasing but without cutter . Machine working is perfect
in all respect. Machine is very rigid for working. I think.
so if you look up into inside of the spindle you do not see a 6 finger collet, then the drawbar\collet assembly i see in the picture probably belongs inside the spindle, you will have to remove the pneumatic unclamp cylinder, install the collet\drawbar assembly (very tricky as the collet has to be collapsed, say by wrapping a string around the bottom of the collet, pulling it tight and securing it so that when the collet gets down inside the spindle it fill fit inside a bore it needs to,then unwind the string from the bottom of the spindle),then we have to hope everything is set such that it clamps\unclamps, and runs freely...there are locknuts that do this, you will have to remove the top locknut to get the unclamp cylinder off...you really have a chore in front of you if indeed the drawbar\collet is not inside already...good luck with this one...john
a second look at your pic tshows no collet, sorry i missed that...you will need to see if you can come up with the collet for the drawbar...start at www.hurco.com, give them your machine serial number, and request part number\price\availability for the collet assembly...be prapared for an answer you may not like very much...this is an old machine for us, and the likelihood of availability is slim i think...good luck....if www.hurco.com does not help, you can try to phone them...our main plant is in indianapolis, indiana, and the phone number would be 317.298.2635...
