Based on the info that Grizzly will tell you and what Jet will provide you.....Jet is the winner.

FWIW - I recently purchased this lathe and have been very happy with it. If you have specific questions about the lathe I am willing to check mine for your answers.

I bought a Grizzly lathe (4013 if memory serves correct).

Had a OOPs while moving it and figured we had a monument to stupidity as they surely would not service the parts we broke - we called and the pats were here in a couple of days.

    Is it perfect? no

Is it a Hardinge or Romi" no

Definitely not as pretty or as well finished as some of the Jet's I saw BUT it is/was cheaper and the service parts came right away.

Comparatively speaking, I got way better service than I can say I got for my $80K cam grinder....
