It looks like you are loosing steps. Set the speed in the software slower and try again.

Also, a lot of laptops put out ~3 volts at the parallel port instead of 5. Cnc control doesn't really like this. Try it on a desktop computer and see if it's better.

When I retrofitted my bridgeport, I was geeting very much the same issues. I was lucky to have a manual, and verified all the voltages and amperage from the main powersupply to the circuit feeds on to the stepper motors. It did take some time, but my stepper motors were high on voltage and low on amps (if remember correctly). But once I got everything adjusted correctly, the problems went away. I found that a faulty fuse holder could reek havoc as well.

Either loosing steps or the Pen is shifting in it's holder or something like that... Or possibly the gantry is not tight and is shifting.
