Squeezing a CNC mill into garage!?

    Folks,

I want to get any personal experience if anyone ever managed to squeeze enclosed CNC mills inside 1 car garage (9'x7'). I am particularily interested in makes/models of

    HAAS VF0
    Fadal VMC xxx
    Milltronics VM xx

anything else you may have fit in !?!?

Also any specific techniques used to maneuver the bastard (jacking, pushing, winching etc)

    9x7 is a tiny 1 car garage. Maybe a mini mill or a tm1.

9X7 feet, My bike shed is 9X8 and I can't imagine putting a CNC machine in it.
It would fit but with no room for anything other then a tooling cart and a few pieces of metal. But if that's all you have, look on the bright side. it will be cheap to maintain a steady temperature and of course a good place to hide out from the wife. LOL

sorry I meant to say 9(w) by 7(h) is a door size, NOT garage size. Since door size will likely be the bottle neck. Garage itself is quite spacious on X, Y and Z.

That sounds better, but can you still hide from the wife?

Go to NYCCNC.com and look at his videos. He has a series of videos showing the unpacking and assembly of a Tormach. Not quite a VMC, but I think it illustrated the possibility.

    I have 3 vmc's a Hardinge superslant etc... in a 20 x 24 garage with 9 x 7 doors.

2 leadwell mcv-0's went in without removing anything, the 3rd is a mighty comet 500p. just had to remove the z motor and flop the cable track down.

I hired professional riggers to move the equipment.
