    Wabeco F1210H retrofitting

Hi, i just have ordered a Wabeco F1210H mill from the factory, it's on sale, and a D6000 lathe. These will be the basis of my workshop, my pet project. Initially i considered CNC from the factory but after i saw nccad.. just gave up. So the mill is upgraded with ballscrews and Y extention to 180 mm. Milling head slow.
I'm new in all this CNC stuff but i started to shop around for a kit. I want to work metal with 0.01 mm precision and i look for a better quality setup. I want to mount pendant, DRO, homing. I don't know servo or stepper , digital drive for stepper ? preferably Mach 3. What i found:
Cnc Mill 3 axis NEMA34 PC Micro step motor Kit 40kg.cm | eBay or from keling :
NEMA 34 Servo Motor Kit or from Sorotec - Driveset 42PRO
for DRO i'm planning : LCD Digital Readout 3axis Mill Milling Drill DRO 3Scale - UK | eBay I am a mecanical engineer so the mechanical parts i might manage but the electronics, there are so many choices i don't know which to chose. The machines will be delivered only in january so i want to buy the cnc stuff before. Any thoughts, help needed
    Thanks
    Attila

    Hi Attila,

I've a F1200 mill and am looking to do the same. Have you done yours? So you mind sharing what you did?

    Regards,
