    Mitsubishi Communication Issue

I'm having an issue inputting a program from a laptop to the CNC (Mitsubishi 500-meldas control), using RS232 cable. I'm able to output programs without any problems. Why am I able to get programs out of the CNC, but not put any in? Is there a particular setting I need to look at? I have the baudrate set, stop bits, and parity... any suggestions? Thanks.

What is or isn't happening? Are you getting an alarm?

On you i/o menu you must set the correct port/device numbers for
    input and output operations.

You can get an M500 instuction manual at www. meau. com follow
download links and grab the "INSTRUCTION MANUAL" this will detail
how to carry out I/o operations to different device.
