    Cadillac CNC Retrofit

    Hello;

    I have just purchased 2 Cadillac NC100 machines with Fanuc 5T controls.
    They are circa 1980 with tape readers. One of the machines is in the middle of a retrofit of the Fanuc while the 2nd is original.

    I am planning to finish the retrofit. It has come with a computer control unit with touchscreen, and the interface boards are:

    I/O board - Mesa 7i37TA
    X/Z motor control - Mesa 7i29

    All motors are DC including spindle.

    I am trying to figure out if the interface boards are correct for the machine, especially for hooking up the encoders/etc. Attached is a wiring diagram for the encoders.

    If anyone has any experience with retrofit of these machines, I would appreicate it. I have most of the electrical/control drawings/etc but since all the original guts are missing, it makes it hard to cross-reference.

    Thanks!
