I think I got it figured out.

I think there is too much wear in the ways and is causing all of my problems. I'm going to probably put this back to a manual lathe and chalk this up to a learning experience.

Mike i know where the problem lies.

If you look in a mirror you too will see the problem, remember this thread http://www.cnczone.com/forums/bencht...sistently.html

I along with other people gave you good advice which you have chosen to ignore so if anyone else feels like wasting there time helping this guy be my guest, don't say you haven't been warned, it will as they say go in one ear and straight out the other.

    Hmmm...forgot about that thread....

Please accept my heartfelt apology for wasting your precious time in replying to this thread.

For the record, I did NOT "ignore" the advice. If you read through it, you will see that I replied to just about every posting with the suggestions.

The carriage has inconsistent movement in it that I cannot find.

I promise to go back and carefully read my original thread again and see if I can find some information on what I am doing wrong.

Thanks for pointing out my original thread though.

No one else needs to reply to this thread as I have all the information that I need as so elequently pointed out just now.

    Thanks

    Mike
