    Cool mazak 5500m

    hello all,

could not find the forum for mazak lathes. hopefully somebody can help me in this forum. we have a large mazak 5500M cnc lathe. need to know how the coolant for the live tooling works. is it non-existent, thru the spindle or do i need a coolant collar and hard pipe it?

    thanks!
    greg

HAHA! Funny Mark. Real helpful info!

From what I can find out from somebody that knows a company that has one of these, they don't have thru spindle coolant, so I can look all day and not find it. I'll be sure to save your name so if I ever want a humorous NON answer I'll ask you first.

Did you even look at the link? It's the Mazak forum. They may be able to help you there.
