Looking to Buy a New Mill

Howdy Yall,
Our Heavy Shop is looking into buying a new 4 axis Horizontal Machining Center. It needs to be a 50 cat taper spindle and around 50 tool mag. with multiple pallets. The only other thing would be repeatability on true position accuracy..the best possible. Also a pretty quick pallet to pallet & tool to tool time... I know this is asking for a lot but thats why I'm asking Im sure yall will come through with some awesome advice!! Sorry for any typos...........
Thanks for all responses in advance.

Don't go cheap on a horizontal. I will always say Mori, followed by Makino.

I ran a Mori Sieki 6300 horizontal mill for a few years, and it was a great machine. Multiple pallets, fairly quick pallet changes, and lots of tool pockets.

It will take up lots of floor space, but if that's not an issue, it would be an excellent machine for you.

I'm a big fan of Okuma. There's a lot of companies that make a great horizontal machining center, but I prefer the OSP control. Also everything being made by the same company really speeds up the entire system as a whole. Unfortunately regardless of the machine you choose you will probably never use all of the technology they soak into them today. But I can get a machine up and running faster, or troubleshoot quicker with the OSP control. It's open architecture allows you to turn off and on options with out calling Fanuc or Mits. Regardless I'm sure you'll have fun with whatever machine. Mazak probably has highest resale of jap brands.

Time to invest in a high-speed chip conveyer that runs straight into the swarf-skip outside...and you'll need a high-speed swarf-skip rotating turn-table built into the carpark area don't forget!

I often dream about running something that fast...but my dreams always turn to nightmares as I start scrapping and smashing everything at ever increasing speeds....aarrrgghh!
