What trumps what? A print or a solid file? ive found that solids dont allways match the prints. please help.

If you are doing CAM work off the solid and find that the drawing is not the same.
Get the customer to sign off on what they want before making any chips.
Print does.
A solid does not specify material, surface finishes, tolerances, datums, etc.
If you don't send a supplier a proper print, don't expect a proper part.

3D surfaces are impossible to represent in a print. We make prints that define the critical areas of the part, but the model "rules" in all other dimensions. If you have a model that does not match the print, then something is wrong and the customer must fix the incongruence.
