Delta 40 Controller

I have a mill with a Delta 40 controller. It has Baldor servo drives that has +-10vdc. Also has Servo dynamics drives. I would like to stay with this and install new controller. I have looked at Rutex which appears will work but I honestly dont know if it will. Does any one have better ideas or any ideas at all. Crap I'm lost.
thanks racear

You can install a new 3 axis control from many places for about 5-6K yourself but if you have it done your lookin at 12-20K, if the machine is worth it then do it, did my Old G&L lathe with a COntrol from LNC and works like a dream

you are right, I could scrap the complete machine or sale the "crap" or purchase a new complete controller but then I would not need to be on this forum nor would I be a do it your selfer. I guess I will read a whole lot more and make mistakes and spend my money foolishly and hope fully learn along the way. If I learn what not to do then I will be satisfied with that and then I may sale the crap to some one else.

I'm serious. Someone will buy the same way as You bought. Think again. If You can turn time back. Would You buy that machine tool knowing the trouble what You encounter now?

I'm not sure what you mean by Baldor with servo dynamics drives, but doesn't really matter. I would think you could put a mach 3 on it fairly cheap and still use the drives. The SD and baldor drives are easily repaired. All that being said, the dynapath is still one of my favorite garage controls. So easy to use.

The machine is a bed mill. It is super tight. Still has factory paint and absolutely not hurt. Yes I could sale it but the chance of me finding one as good is probably zero. It is a 11 x 54. Table absolutely pristine and weighs 4500 lb. Has Baldor DC motors that are still being sold by Baldor and has Servo Dynamic servo drives that are still from Servo dynamics. Has a 7.5 hp motor and is a 3 axis, all working great. oh yes I only paid $3000 delivered. So me thinks I will build a controller and I will build the pc. Went thru the total cost and it should not exceed $800. I will use the Baldor and servo dynamic "stuff" in it. I can tune the motors. Also I think I can sale the delta 40 controller when I am done.
What do you all think
