Opinions on ARES SEIKI RM-600

I am wondering if anyone had any experience with this machine. Our company is planning on purchasing one to manufacture small tool parts.
Any help would be appreciated.

Never seen one, but Akira Seiki is all over the place. Beware, a LOT of Chinese companies use the Seiki to try and fool people in to thinking they are Japanese. Seiki just means precision for those who may not know. Mori Seiki and Hitachi Seiki are just two quality machines that come to mind. Find out who actually made the machine, since a lot of Chinese machines are just re-brands. When we used to consider new machine lines when I worked for a distributor, we would pull covers off, inspect for quality, and find a somewhat obscure part on the machine and try to order it. That will tell you if you can expect to get any service at all. MOST obscure machine lines failed those tests.

It is Taiwanese company, is this generally a bad thing? This is the first machine of this type we have ever purchased so our experience is very limited.
