CNC Lathe for Jewelry

Hi everybody. One of my clients wants to purchase a CNC lathe for engagement and wedding rings. Have a look at his website http://www.cristiancollection.com/

Could you give me any suggestions about what would be the best CNC lathe for this type of rings?

Could you direct me to some website where I could find more information about the best CNC lathes for this type of application?

Cheers!

Tell him, there is almost no lathe producing rings. Look here:
YouTube- Watch the manufacturing of a top quality wedding ring by August Gerstner Company.

RingTech - CNC Lathes

Thanks for the video from August Grestner. My client has an specific niche of market that can be produced by a CNC lathe. Some rings will be made entirely by CNC and some design will be partially manufactured by CNC.

By far we have got this CNC lathe as the best option

http://www.ringtech.com/1_New_CNC_Lathe.htm

however we would like to have a look at some other CNC lathe providers before purchasing.

Thanks for yur help!

Okuma ES-L6II-M is much better for that range of price.

Most of those rings can't be made on a lathe

Are you sure he isn't looking for a CNC mill with a rotary 4th axis? Is the intent to produce rings directly in metal, or is he making wax models for casting? Sherline has a nice little CNC lathe that would do some of the work for some of those designs, but really a mill with a rotary axis would get him further along. Sherline makes one, as do Taig and Roland. You can see more info about them on the Production page of my site.

I was at a custom jeweler's this week. The machine they were using was this one http://www.gemvision.com/html/products/revo/revo.html. They also also make a software package which they used that is a addon/plugin to Rhino called Matrix http://www.gemvision.com/html/produc...ix/matrix.html The items they were making were beyond anything I have ever seen.
