Heald (Cincinnati) ID grinder

Does anyone know a mechanic familiar with heald ID grinders? We have a hydraulic problem with ours and everyone we called so far has failed to fix it. Its a powerful machine we would like to use and the problem is probably simple we just can't find anyone who knows these machines.

Brandon what is the problem? I have a few friends that have rebuilt this type of grinder I may be able to get some information for you.

Well, It started off with the hand wheel not engaging when switching out of automatic feed mode. There is a hydraulic line running to the handwheel that overpowers a spring to engage the gears. That appeared to have pressure but did not function properly. I have had 3 different hydraulic guys come out to look at it and they made the problem worse! Now the Table only moves in Rapid mode and does not feed in regular traverse mode. I have a manual for the machine, the model is "plain 271". It has a hydraulic diagram but it is not very detailed so it is hard to follow. This is a very nice, accurate machine we wish we could use. I just can't find anyone who knows how to fix it. We are located in Toledo OH. I would think there would be someone from the detroit area that would have worked on these things.
