    COB,

Drives Warehouse has a 7.5 horsepower 220 volt single phase VFD Polyspede model PC1-75. It will handle a 7.5 horse motor without being de-rated, we use them all the time.

    COB,

For 1-phase drives, the current rating of the breaker should be 2 times maximum input current rating.

The drive input rating is 53.9 amps, I would use a 100 amp breaker.

The drive is rated at 7.5 horse motor when using 220 single phase so you do not need to purchase a oversize VFD.
