    Help with a VFD Please!

    Hi All,
I am new to the forum and could use some information on a VFD. My electronics knowledge is basic.
I have just purchased a Huanyang HY02D223B VFD of EBay and am having some problems. What I am trying to do is set this up to my 3 phase Bridgeport clone. I am just trying to use this to power my mill. I have done something similar on a lathe and mill using TECO VFDs. This thing sure ain’t no TECO and may not work for my application.
This is what I would like to do: I would like to have a small, wired remote control with a on/ off switch , a forward/ reverse switch and a pot to control the speed mounted on the mill. Easy to do on my TECOs. I have wired up the Huanyang and it will run my mill from the VFD. The problem is that I have to manually input the frequency and other parameters and if I cut the power, all I have inputed is lost. The VFD doesn’t seem to have any memory. The manual I have is not very helpful and I am lost.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    TIA
    Randy

I have put a PDF of your drive it is just like any other drive & everything is in the manual for you to set it up

When changing a parameters you have to save it for each change or it will just go back to the default all drives will do this

Thanks for responding Mac. That is the same manual I have, but my key pad is different.
    The manual shows 8 buttons:
    F/R
    Up arrow
    Program
    Shift key
    Down arrow
    Enter
    Run
    Stop/Reset

My key pad has 8 buttons, but they are as follows (see attached file)
    Run
    Stop
    Jog
    Up arrow
    Prgm
    >> (2 arrows pointing right) possibly the shift key
    Down arrow
    Set
    -----
Maybe I am keying things in wrong. This is the sequence I have been putting in:
The VFD is on I press PRGM the display goes to Pd000. I press the Up Arrow until I reach Pd013. I then press SET. The display shows END. Then go on to the next parameter and repeat the process.
Is there something I am doing wrong?
    Thanks again,
    Randy
