We have a Hitachi seiki tf 20 lathe that I have a problem with. When setting up the lathe a tool was hanging back in the holder too far and when the turret indexed it got stuck.

I pryied it loose but know it won't index.

The turret will clamp and unclamp but it doesn't seem to be getting the signal to index and there is an alarm, "2254 toolpost drive unit alarm" If anyone can guide me in the right direction it would be great,

I think the index location pin is bend so it may be jam, when the toolpost try to index, the motor could be overload.
