Hi Guys, my workplace is buying a new CNC Lathe. The owner has narrowed it down to two models and wanted me to come up with the pros and cons of each. I'm hoping the wealth of knowledge on the Zone will make my job a little easier. The first is a Hardinge Elite 51 MS and the second is a Emco Maxxturn 45. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Also, the Emco has VDI tooling. Can someone explain the advantages and disadvantages of this?
