Home Molding Process?

Hey Guys , first post.
I have a few questions about home molds to make the glass lenses in the attached pics. What I want to do is remove the "flutes" and the area where the dark spots are where alignment nipples use to be. I have looked over the web and found a company called Smooth-on who makes products for molds and a "waterlike" clear material to actually make the lenses.
My first question is
1. Can this be done with a minimual amount of polishing? The product that is used to make the lense looks like at least a 24 hours process.

2. What products or company would you recommed to accomplish this?

I can vacummn form the lense but it doesnt make it to the quality I would like to produce. I have attached a photo of the ones I made in my garage so you may get a better idea of what I am trying to make.

3. Any feedback at all would be greatly appreciated.

These are the ones that I vacummed formed in my garage

How they look on the car

And if worse comes to worst and I have to have a company to produce these for me who would you guys recommend? Is this a type of product that can even be molded and produced reasonably at home?

Thanks and appreciate the input and suggestions

If it's made of glass won't fracturing be an issue? Yes it depends upon the type of glass, mounting, etc. but wouldn't lexan or acrylic be a more durable choice? If these are going on the market won't there be DOT regulations to deal with? Sorry I have no answers to your questions but I worked at an injection molder that made lenses for the auto makers and I recall the DOT standards were a daily battle.
