Hi to everyone. We just got some specs for a projets and it calls out for S235 10GA. plates. We are assuming that it is the equivalent to 44W or A-569 mild steel 10GA. plates that we currently use here in Ontario, Canada! If anyone would know where I could find a list were these standards are compared or converted, that would be great. I hope I have enough info for someone to help!! Thank you in advance for all of your time, |

| In Finland (5 years ago) we had a mild ss(structural steel) called FE35, FE44, and FE52. number reflecting the tensile strength of the material in Kg/mm^2. Then, they were renamed to ss235, ss***, and ssxxx(cant remember, thus x's) to reflect yield strength in N/mm^2 as per EU standards or someone just wanted change. I think the euro customer is asking for the weakest(cheapest) of the structural steels that they had available... |
