You can machine that with standard indexable inserts. CBN really does not work well on those lower RC. By using standard carbide it will cost you much less.

Hi all. I've got to quote 6600 pieces made of 1137 steel hardened to Rc40/45. I have to machine a .094 full radius OD groove 1/16" deep per side. I havn't used CBN all that much so any ideas on tool life (parts per insert edge) would help. Thanks in advance.
