First of all I work in a jobbing shop that I've taught to survive by taking on bastard work with difficult materials that no one wants.
I've started back at this company for a forth time in 15 years just to set the probation record and also to do as much o/t as I can before the depression...lol.
Carpenter is the ***** of the month. It's harder as a stainless than 316, Nitronic and PH. It's around 47 Rockwell and I'm looking for help with speed and feeds as well as better tooling milling.
So far we are using TiAlN coated Carbides with Variable Flute Spacing milling (to reduce chatter that kills tools). The info I downloaded from Carpenter is helpfull but I'm fishing.
Any suggestion people? |
