I have a friend that needs holes drilled in geode stones for jewelry. She has burnt up bits trying with a dremel. I figure the rpms were to high. She is going to bring over some diamond bits for me to try on my bench top milling machine. Any advice on speeds or approach is appreciated. |

| Has your friend gone to someplace that supplies lapidary equipment? It should be possible to get advice there; rockhounds do this kind of thing all the time.
