I am trying to find aluminium Alloy BS 1476 NE4 Condition M for a very old part we have to manufacture The part is a threaded Bolt and I have looked for a supplier of Alluminium to BS1476 with no luck I suspect this is a very old spec , so I am looking for is what is the Equivalent Spec . The part drawing has a date of 1988 - hence the detailed SPEC supplied and equivalent material requried |

| Heh, was going to say it is a British Standard, ask someone on the other side of the pond-then I saw your "location"... Try calling a local raw material sales company that sells aluminum products and ask for the oldest salesman! He could remember old standards and even sell you the right stuff.. |
