Hi all, I'm working on a job just now using DAP 5553. We are getting load's of problems with it chiiping. The workpiece is being held in a nest machined into a Chick Vice so is gripped all around and is also gripped as deep as possible. We are using carbide slot drills, we started using around the same speed's and feed's as aluminium, then half those. We have been trying all sort's of different approaches to machine the part, each time it would chip. Does anyone have any experience with this material? http://www.almoco.nl/dap5553.pdf Cheers  |
