Question Need help finding affordable prototyping board.

    Hey folks,

I need some help finding some prototyping board like RenShape. The only suppliers I can find online only sell big sheets of RenShape and it is expensive. I am looking for something cheap.

The part I need to machine is small and I'm looking for smaller pieces of it.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

My favorite is strip board, I have found the easiest to use for prototyping.
    Third down.

It sounds like Forestman is looking for a solid material for carving something in, not circuit-board material. Renshape is a high-density urethane foam that cuts really easily, but is relatively durable. There are alternatives, though. Check out "butterboard" from Golden West Manufacturing: FAST CAST Casting Resin Tooling Boards Machineable Plastic Cedar Ridge California or one of the higher-density formulations of Precision Board from Coastal Enterprises: Precision Board Plus / PBLT | Coastal Enterprises If you ask for a sample, they might even send you a small piece for free...
