| Kerf is the width of the material that is lost in e cutting process. If you are talking about plasma cutting....the kerf will vary depending on the power level (amperage), the thickness of the material and the cut speed. In the Burny control you can adjust the kerf compensation....in other words when you enter a kerf width...it will automatically shift the cutter path so that the finshed part ends up the correct size. If you are using a post procesing software (CAM....or Nesting software)....this kerf compensation may be don before the part drawing file is imported into the Burny...if that is the case...then leave the kerf compensation in the Burny set to "0".
