Need Help!- Engraving a-2 after hardening

Hi Im looking for some info on engraving A-2 after its been hardened. The harndess is about 60 Rc. I've ben using a 1/8 harvey engraving tool with an Altain coating and a .010 radius tip the letters are 3/16 tall and need to be around .010 deep. I'm running it at 10000 and feeding it at 2.5 ipm takind around .002 a pass. there are about 20 letters per part and i get about 1 part per tool maybe 2. If anyone has any ideas on better tooling or a better method of doing this your help would be much appreciated. I have to use an 1/8th dia. tool due to clearance.

send them to the local trophy shop and have them laser engraved for $6 ea.

Was actually doing it today using a 1/32 Ball Nose Endmill TailN coated with a 1/8 shank going about .004 deep. ramping it down .0005 per pass at 30 ipm and 8000 rpm. Have tried using engaving tools but I find this cut nicer and looks just as good

Thanks ice fisher we have looked into that. What brand ball miill did you use? We just werent sure how the ball mill would hold up. And Darebee laser engraving wont work for us because the surface that the letters are on wears down as the customer uses the part and they want the letters about .010 deep so that they get alot of life out of the part, Thanks for the response though I should have mentioned that before.
