I use G83 with 1/4" upcut spirals to peck "drill" in wood.
Should work with the drill bits.
And I use the same router.
I have a Porter Cable 890 router on my 3 axis K2 machine. The slowest setting is 10,000 rpm, and I am using Precise Bits drill bits designed for cnc with their collet.
I am trying to drill 0.25 holes in HDPE, about 3/4 inch deep.
I get build up of material on the bit, and by the third hole or so, it has a negative impact on the drilling.
I am of the idea I need to slow the bit down? Or, I am thinking of peck drilling so the material cleans out.
I am using the drill cycle, can't recall the #... but it is standard.
I could use some advice..

(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)
I planned on trying peck drilling next..
The holes are to be tapped for 1/4-20, so they need to be right on.
