Newlydraw will engrave stamps, in fact it is a step up in features from the stamp only software they sell.
What is the problem exactly?

I have an HX3040 with newlydraw. I am trying to engrave stamps but apparently newlydraw does not properly support this. Can anyone recomend a decent piece of software? My laser has been sitting unused for a year since I got it.

AFAIK It won't engrave the stepped shoulder required for stamps. Particularly to support thinner sections. I emailed the newlydraw company and they indicated that Newlydraw is not suitable for stamps.
Can you post an example? (or a link showing what you mean)
I use ArtCAM or Corel to create the design and Newlydraw as a 'driver' to send the output to the laser.
If you are using it for the design it would be limiting but should still be capable of a basic stamp.

Currently the laser engraves straight down, but a rubber stamp requires support, particularly for thinner sections.
OK, I see what you need now.
The software would need to alter the power density of the laser to create the steps.
It may be possible to do this, but obviously some specialized software would be much easier.
