There's a knob on one corner of the bed... turn it.
I have ordered a HX40A in ebay which arrived in good shape after only 3 days from China. Everything seems to work at the very basic level, which explains the low cost of these machines.
You first must replace the electric plugs of the waterpump. And the screws for ajusting the mirrors just drive you nuts. But it's OK.
The documentation is rather poor. I find no information about how to move the Z-Axis of the table and the clamp to hold the workpiece, which the rather nice documentation video included shows and explains, was missing. There is no mentioning in the video about the Z-Axis. I would be very glad about some information about this.
I own another chinese Lasercutter (model IE1200), which is incredibly dangerous safetywise, but worked perfectly for a full year now. If you order such machines, you should always order all the electronics twice - these are incredibly cheap if shipped with your order and rather difficult and costly to get, once you need to replace them urgently.
Kind regards
Mischa

why IE1200 is dangerous?

Many thanx for your quick answer! From my other LaserCutter I was in the wrong frame of mind that the HX40A would offer a motorized Z-axis as well. Regards Mischa
We are using this machine in the contexte of an academic environment with many inexperienced students using it for just a short period of time. And at least in this context this machine is dangerous. We had to add safety switches all over the machine, but I am sure that a reasonable safety officer from our school would stop our using of this machine immediately. Regards
