I'm not affiliated with the company, just saw them in a Popular Science magazine that I was browsing through. Not sure if any of their lasers are powerful enough, but thought I'd give people a heads up.
The EM weapons are pretty cool...I wouldn't mind having a rail gun!
So are people using these lasers to engrave or cut? On the hobby side/CNCzone.com I mean?
i seen this one web site were they used a home made cnc router and put a c02 laser in the spindle mount and was cutting model plain parts out of wood
i'll try to find the link
Hmmm...never seen that one. I know Torchmate was showing off how accurate their machine was by mounting a laser on their gantry and cutting incredibly small designs...an american flag and some other stuff...I think they were smaller than a dime...I'll have to check their site now!
that's a cool link
a friend has a cnc laser cutter for cutting fabric ,one of it's options can burn photos into wood
for colors you get wood and black and every shade in between so they come out pretty good
Is it just engraving or is it cutting out shapes in gasket material and balsa or what?
that ?? was meant more for the other users, holbieone...
