Wiimote control Laser cutter!

Nothing groundbreaking here but just wanted to share that I got my wiimote to control the laser cutter. It emulates the arrow keys on the keybooard with GlovePie. I had to run GlovePie as an admin to get it to work. Also works on ps controller too with JoyToKey

I actually dreamed of this kind of controller for a laser cutter. My 1600x2000mm (5' 4" X 7') laser cutter is kinda hard to control without a remote. Definitely have to try this, but a Wii controller might be too expensive and they aren't sold separately. A remote PS controller might still be expensive, but it can be bought. Does it work with a XBOX controller or PC gamepad though? Anyway, thanks for bringing it to attention. Many chinese laser users might think about using this solution.

I should clarify RetianEngrave (the software to control the FS laser cutter) already has build in shortcut keys. So all I did was to map the Wiimote buttons to arrow keys on the keyboard.

Any type of controller that you can interface with your computer should work. You will have to find a software that you can assign the controller's buttons to keyboard's buttons.
