I was wondering if anyone out there had a solution to the raised top edges I am getting on acrylic. I can minimize the visibility of the raised edges but only at the expense of the smoothness of the actual edge. Using faster speed and multiple passes gives lousy edge results. Can this be fixed with stronger air assist?
I am using the Full Spectrum 40W Deluxe with and without the honeycomb table. It was cut out of 3mm Cast Acrylic. I have tried with the stock paper both on and off and also tried replacing it with a medium tack paper mask. None of that seemed to make much of a diffence.
Could be material quality?
Some *acrylic* is cheap imported stuff that gives an aweful finish, try a small piece of genuine "Perspex" with known providence to see if you get the same results?
