    Lasercut 5.3 and gear :)

Hi, sometimes i have problems with lasercut 5.3. On screen is all shapes right, but after cutting are some objects shorten on Y - only in imported objects from DXF (Corel, Autocad, Adobe). Does anyone have any idea what to do? Thanks

yes, i made it. It is ok. If i draw it directly in Lasercut, it is ok. The problem is only with DXF import, and it is almost good, but about in 5% cases it has this strange failure

Maybe you can try to import drawing in DWG Format if you can..?

So, Lasercut don't accept dwg. From vectors format only DXF

Hmm looks like you are loosing steps or something, are the gear and the circle cut out in the same opperation, or are they two different layer's?

same operations, same layer. Loosing steps? I think not, becouse machine loosing same at Y+ and Y-. And machine has servos. I think, here must be bad translator from DXF to Gcode, but how translator know what is imported and what is created? Some changes in Y are interpreted bad, only in dxf import and only for gears and rectangulars. And only some times If rectangular is rotated by one degree, all is ok, if not, sometimes is y shorter i don't know why

If you were losing steps the start and end points would not be the same, this is a problem with the interpreter.

Since it looks ok on screen it is likely an issue with the laser controller side.

    Zax.
