Forgot newlydraw....
It is beter you purchase Leetreo MPC 6535 controller and you buy 2 step motor controler.
directly by leetro.
Is not a hard job and you can improve your machine.
I just want to buy one of them, I'm not starting a collection. I'll buy the first one that comes along at a reasonable price. Paypal or whatever.
This is for the parallel port version marked 6.1
Lots of people replace these with other controllers so someone must have one kicking around somewhere.
Thanks

Is your old one dead? Or you building a new machine or something?
I came to the conclusion my one died by a process of elimination. However it was infact that the cheap plastic laser switch had failed.
Unfortunately by that time I had ordered a new one and they gave me a V3.3 for insulting amounts of money instead.
We already offered to sell him RetinaEngrave with a 100% moneyback guarantee within 60 days.
Any customer that has a NewlyDraw control card can upgrade to our RetinaEngrave USB system with direct print drivers under Windows XP/Vista/7 both 32-bit and 64-bit.
We do superior vector cutting and rastering from any application that can print under Windows.
It's not as cheap as a NewlyDraw control card direct from China but you can obviously see the difference in support.
Leetro LaserCut 5.3 isn't bad but our cards are basically the same price for a lot better performance/ease of use.
If you buy a Leetro board, good luck with the support also unless you have a USA reseller like us or you live in China
Look at our web forums and see how well we support our software and machines:

Ask yourself why you have to go to cnczone to get tech support instead of asking your reseller.
When you buy from the guys that write the software, you get a lot more for your money.
Clearly we aren't a Chinese company and won't work off Chinese margins but you get what you pay for.
We won't charge you $2000-5000 to recharge your laser tube like Universal or Epilog but we won't work for free either.
You wanted to sell me a Mach3 card + another card that plugs into that one that sticks unprotected off the side of the machine for USB connection. With software that's not finished.
I guess that depends on where you shop. A newlyDraw card from you was going to be $1000.00 which oddly was more than your Mach3 + Retinaengave solution. It's not as cheap as a NewlyDraw control card direct from China but you can obviously see the difference in support.
Leetro is where I go next, but I wanted to keep Newlydraw working since I'm in the middle of multiple projects and would prefer not switching software right now. I also don't want to spend anymore time than I already have playing amateur laser technician. And for what I do with the laser I don't need high res engraving and don't much care how the Aztec calendar looks under a magnifying glass. I do need it to cut and engrave on the same job sometimes but the engraving is just simple line patterns.Leetro LaserCut 5.3 isn't bad but our cards are basically the same price for a lot better performance/ease of use.

I did. The most excited guy there besides yourself is also a technician. Everyone else just wants their machine to work so they can get back to work.Look at our web forums and see how well we support our software and machines:

The answer is that I couldn't remember which Chinese dealer I had purchased the laser from 3 years ago. It took a while to go through all the paypal transactions but I eventually figured it out. One email later and a new board is on the way and for less than a third of the price you wanted.Ask yourself why you have to go to cnczone to get tech support instead of asking your reseller.

You don't recharge tubes at any price. We won't charge you $2000-5000 to recharge your laser tube like Universal or Epilog but we won't work for free either.
But yeah, it can be much simpler buying from an American reseller due to language barriers and China being all the way on the other side of the planet and all.
Our control card is superior to Leetro. Period.
Our cards were designed with the same connectors as Newlydraw boards. You unplug 3 cables and plug it in and that's it. Leetro boards come with Euro style connectors. Your power supply doesn't have Euro connectors and I bet you will be back on this board asking how to wire it up and realize the connectors don't fit.
You will also realize you need to drill holes to mount the 2 stepper controllers, 4 holes for the Leetro card which is 3x larger and finally some other issue I won't tell you about
We are so confident that we offer a 100% money back guarantee within 60 days. 100% money back. That's how confident our software is finished and you will be satisfied.
With most Chinese company you had to pay in advance, probably by bank wire transfer, and when it doesn't work out they give you the finger and laugh because they know you are not a repeat customer.
100% money back.
If you can find a Chinese company that does that for you go ahead and buy from them and tell me about them also so I can buy from them too.
Unless you buy large volumes and they worry about losing you as a customer, all you get is the finger and a laugh.
