how do you solve OS problem?

hey guys,
just want to ask a simple question: are Chinese still using XP? I want a laser can work with MAC or at least Windows 7/vista but all Chinese supplier told me they cant do it. How do you guys solve this problem?

Vista and Windows 7 both have a compatability mode, that creates an XP like environment for a particular program. So any XP program should be able to run safely. in either.

It's just one of those unfortunate things in life. I use a number of CNC programs which all work OK with XP but they don't all work with Vista.
I have tried various fudges, updates and registry fixes and wasted many hours of my time now I tell myself "To solve the problems with Vista use XP" this solution works perfectly, every time, for me.

These compatibility modes often work with the software/application but not necessarily for the drivers. Do not EXPECT it to work with Vista/7 unless the vendor has tested it.
