marking system on metal.

Dear Experters,
I try to find the good point and bad point of two method.
1) the first method use 40W cnc laser machine with cermark product on metal.
2) the another method use electro etching on metal.
What is the advantages and disadvantages of both method ?
Which is the best choices for marking on metal? Pls advise.

Can I ask why you only consider those 2 methods and not a rotary or impact engraver?
