Smile will a 1w diode laser cut 6mm acrylic?

Need help, I'm thinking about adding a laser to my CNC but want to do it on the cheap cause the only thing i'm planning on cutting is 6mm acrylic. Anyone have any suggestions on this? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

No. You need much powerful laser for 6 mm acryl. And better and cheaper if it will be CO2. Try chinese glass tube for this application.

    Hello,
If cutting 6mm acrylic, both CNC router and laser engraver will be ok to do it.
If laser engraver,I recommend you a 60watt laser tube, and maybe you can tell me the dimension of your material.
If interested, you can welcome to visit our homepage in made in china,we are manufacture and have all sizes of great laser engravers, will also give you good price.

i have a 2.4W 808nm laser diode and it dont do absolutly noting in crystal acrylic, it can engrave dark color acrylic, all i could cut is 0,5mm paper, 1mm black acrylic( cutting shows no good finish cause it must cut at very slow speed) and vinyl. I hook the module with rubberband in my laser machine.... watch video:
