need help with dc-k40 laser and newlydraw software

I'm new to laser engravers and really need help. I have a dc-k40 laser engraver and newlydraw software1.5. I followed instructions but the laser head does not move and software shows that it is engraving. My question is "is my laser engraving machine broken? Or am I doing something wrong?" I've watched a video of newlydraw on youtube and done exact steps and still nothing. I need help please.... Can anyone help me out?

When you turn on the laser does it initialize correctly?

The head should move to the back right and locate the limit / home switches and stop.

If so, can you manually move the head around the table using the software controls?

If you can, then your machine is likely ok and it is a programming issue (job setup using Newlydraw).

--- just a stupid thought... check the EMO switch isn't enabled!

Rotate the red knob to see if it releases (pops up).

hi,
i have the same laser machine. it was working fine this morning, but now when i switch it on the head does not move to its home position. please help.
