    How to do shading?

Would anyone please be able to tell me how to obtain these fading effects?

What I need is rounded fading like the one below (like the boy has rounded shading rather than on a straight line).

Would anyone please be able to tell me how to obtain these effects?

    Many thanks.

It appears the image is just faded out to black, which would be a simple task for any graphic editor. I use Photoshop, but Corel PhotoPaint or GIMP would be options.

    Zax.

    Hi Saurav,

I use Corel Paint Shop - it is very simple to make shadings with "soft brush" and
I think that this soft brush is also very common in most of the craphic and photo
softs. I attached few photos; other without shading, other one with - made it
under 1 minute ( if I can do it - other world can make it better ) !

    Hi,

Thanks but any tutorials on how to select like a rounded bit and fade the edges of that rounded selection?

In Photoshop it's REALLY easy, use the rounded select tool and put a feather on it (like 50 or more pixels). Have black as the background color and delete the area... it will slowly fade out to black.
