LG1200 laser cutting and moving as soon as we turn it on

ok this is going to sound crazy but heres what is happening

    Today
    - turn laser machine on to warm lamp up and computer on
    - about 20mins later opened program on computer (lasercut)
    - laser head starts moving like crazy across the table all over the place, when no cut path has been set
    - only way to stop it is to hit emergency stop

the program wont shut down as it says "machine still running" I have to do a manual program shutdown to close it.

no buttons on control panel work, like reset, arrows, stop etc

I have shut down the computer and machine alot of times and tried to reset it. I now have the head not moving as soon as the program turns on but as soon as I hit an arrow and move the head, i take my finger off the button & the machine keeps on moving and wont stop.... it is like its reading something/file from the computer even though there is only the program open, no actual files within the program

the last time we used it was few days ago, which was a file we have used before and all cut fine, no errors etc

I have taken the usb toggle out & put back in but still the same

I have looked through the settings and all looks correct

We are not sure what to try other than reinstalling the program, which if we do always have errors and takes us ages/days to get going so trying to avoid that if possible

could it be the motherboard? I will also contact G.Weike to see if they know why this is doing this

    thanks in advance
    Kim

    UPDATE

ok we have figured out that it seems like its on continuous cut mode

I finally got the position in top corner and as soon as we put machine power on it cuts the file that we had up in program, but it does not stop cutting, continues until we press emergency stop

so we had 5 cuts up and it read and cut file perfectly but didnt stop after last cut, continued to cut 6

it also is on immediate output, could there be an error with this? we have tried to change it but it still comes up when we open program

    thankyou, hope this makes sense

    Laser misbehaving....

    Hello

    some suggestions - i hope

could there be a physical problem with the keys on the laser control pad?
if condensation or dust has got into them it could play havoc - especially if the panel is the type with the smooth dimple buttons ( sorry i dont know the correct term) .

you could test this very simply by disconnecting the control pad from the laser main board - it is most likely connected via 15 pin RS232 connector.

do the machine controls within Lasercut work ? (ie. the commands which duplicate the control panel - X,Y,Z jog, run box , start ) or are the same faults evident?

hope you manage to get it fixed

    regards

    KPB

    Cool

    thank you for you suggestions,
the control panel on actual laser machine is the touch pad type, and only works intermittently now, the arrow keys work sometimes but the stop / start / reset buttons do not.

i tried to move the x y axis directly from the laser machine program in computer with no results....

    i have reinstalled all software, checked all cables, and problem with machine has changed slightly, the following now happens;

turn on lasercut program in computer
    open file
    turn on laser machine
machine starts cutting file before i send it to out-put in computer
and does not stop cutting until i press the stop button on the laser machine.

im starting to think i may have a problem with my mpc03 card, as both axis on machine seem to be operating/moving normally, and occasionally i will get an error message popping up saying "open motion card error" which relates to my mpc03 card in the computer(sometimes the pins in the back become loose)

files keep cutting continuously now, however only old files i have previously cut before, and new files i create to cut do not work, and if i change something like a line in an old file, it wont cut it at all... it just ends up calculating data for along time and a pop up box appear for me to type into, and says "time limit over, please input password" then there is another box which has a machine number and verify password box, however i do not have a passsword and dont now why files i have previously cut with no prblems cant be read and keeps timing out...

i am now in touch with my laser machine supplier, an will update this thread with my resuts.

however if anyone else has any suggestionss that would be great.

    Thanks in advance
