| Hello, I'm interested in purchasing a relatively cheap CNC Mill and I was pointed into the direction of getting a TAIG MicroMill 2027 ER, for $2300 (w/o shipping): TAIG CNC MICRO MILL 2000, but after looking at some other places, I came across the CNC Jr. Table Top Mill, from CNC Masters: CNC Milling Machine | CNC Table Top Mills | CNC Jr. Table Top Mill Machine, for more than double the price, but with much more traveling distances. Now I may be willing to pay for this price if I know they are reliable machines. I've heard decent reviews about TAIG, but nothing about CNC Masters. Can anyone please comment on their machines' performance? Thanks in advance. |

| Looking at the link I would go for the Baron. The first machine is based on a round column, these are typically not sought after for CNC conversion. That being said, it will be much more rigid than a Taig and have larger travels. I believe a member here (Kregan?) has cnc'd the RF30 with great results. I personally would steer towards the square column machine. |
